Lino Printing

This workshop acts as an introduction to relief printing using lino. The technique, known as linocut, uses linoleum, a material usually made of linseed oil and cork dust. The surface of the lino is cut and carved into to create indents, texture and other types of mark making using specific carving tools.

Participants had the opportunity to understand the various usages of linocut as a crucial printmaking technique, as well as the use of carving tools, inking process, imagery reference and more.
